FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

      From time to time we have had customers ask questions about our product and why we do things a certain way.  We thought of just saying, "Because we said so," but that would be rude.  So we politely answer our customer's questions.  We have posted several of them her for you to view hoping that we have already answered your question before.  If we have not, then please click on the CONTACT US link on the left and send us your question.  Who knows, maybe your question is good enough to be added to our FAQ page.

Question: Why do I have to send a patch with my order?
Well, you don't have to, but if you want us to make a MyPatchPlaque for you...  Seriously, we need your patch to recreate a high resolution image of it.  If you have already ordered a plaque from us previously or see your agency listed on the products page, you do not need to send a patch.  We have hundreds of patch images on file from previous orders and may have yours already on file.  We digitally scan your patch using high resolution imagery which allows us to enlarge your patch to the MyPatchPlaque size you have chosen.  We do return your patch with your completed MyPatchPlaque.

Question: How long does it take to receive my order?
From the day we receive your order, we strive to have your MyPatchPlaque completed and back in the mail to you within a week.  Because each of our MyPatchPlaques is custom and hand made for your order, it takes some time to produce our quality product.  Part of the process takes a minimum amount of time, and we do not rush the process to ensure a quality product.  Our quality control gives us one last check before your finished MyPatchPlaque is packed for shipping.

Question: What is the difference in the standard size and the large size?
The difference is just that, size.  The standard size MyPatchPlaque is about 8"x10" and the large size is about 10"x16".  The actual finished size varies depending on the shape of your patch.  As we enlarge your patch's digital image it may reach the maximum width before it reaches the maximum length, or the other way around.

Question: What is included for hanging my MyPatchPlaque?
Each of our MyPatchPlaques includes a metal hanger on the back similar to that found on a framed photograph.  We also add rubber bumpers at the bottom to level the MyPatchPlaque as it hangs on your wall.  If you need special hanging or mounting needs, just let us know and we will attempt to accommodate you.

Question: Can I have a MyPatchPlaque made from a badge?
Sure, we have done many of them.  The hard part is that badges cost much more than patches and most people are not able to send us one.  However, we can make a MyPatchPlaque from a high resolution digital photo file or still picture.  The wonderful thing about badges is their ability to shine in the light.  Unfortunately this makes them harder to photograph, so try to avoid brightly reflected areas in the picture.
